Forest School

Forest School for Early Years

Forest School for Early Years is for children 0-5 years who have not yet started school and their parent/carer. They take place in 5 or 6 week blocks at Cambuslang Park and there are regular special event sessions such as Mud Kitchen Mondays. Children will experience the full range of Forest School activity with a focus on free play

Forest School for Families

Forest School for Families is for children aged 0-12 years with their parents/carers. Sessions take place at both our Cambuslang Park and Holmhills sites, with regular Saturday sessions taking place at Holmhills. Families will experience the full range of Forest School activity and will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills throughout. 

Forest School for Kids

Forest School for Kids is for children 6-12 years with no adult required! Sessions take place at both our Cambuslang Park and Holmhills sites, with regular Saturday sessions taking place at Holmhills. Children and young people will experience the full range of Forest School activity and will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills throughout. We also deliver Forest School for Kids in partnership with local schools.

Forest School is a child led, innovative approach to outdoor play and learning which aims to encourage participants through positive outdoor experiences and free play. Project 31 have several Forest School leaders who work with groups at our fantastic sites in Cambuslang Park and Holmhills providing opportunities to learn about the natural environment, self assess and handle risks, use initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others. Forest School includes the supervised use of tools, fire, water play and promotes safe risk taking.
